Description
A George II oak longcase clock by Paul Thackwell of Ross, the thirty-hour brass birdcage movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, the ten inch dial with a silvered chapter ring, with Roman and Arabic numerals, the centre engraved with scrolls and a Chinese style pagoda and signed 'Paul Thackwell ROSS' with Rococo cast gilt brass spandrels, the hood with three turned finials and plain columns, above a trunk door with a moulded edge, 210.5cm high.
