Description
A Swiss ormolu grande sonnerie pendule d'officier by Grand Girard, the twin train movement with verge escapement and striking on two bells, with mono-metallic balance wheel and alarm, the three and a quarter inch enamelled dial with Arabic numerals and inscribed 'Grand Girard', the case with a serpent carrying handle and decorated with wreaths, flowers, leaves and patterae, with pull-repeat and pull-wound alarm, on paw feet, late 18th / early 19th century, 20cm high.
