Six silver animal and zodiac brooches by Jessie Murphy, the circular silver brooches depicting Leo and Aries, both with maker's mark JM, and London hallmarks for 1959, Pisces, with maker's mark JM and London hallmarks for 1949, Sagitarius, with maker's mark JM and London hallmarks for 1961, Libra, with maker's mark JM and London hallmarks for 1950, and a whale, with maker's mark JM and London hallmarks for 1953 all carved and pierced in silver, each 3.2cm diameter
Provenance: H.G. Murphy (1884-1939), and thence by descent to the present owner
