A JAPANESE IVORY OKIMONO

MEIJI 1868-1912

Carved as a bijin holding a kokyu (string instrument), her kimono elaborately decorated with a pattern of swirls and leaves, signed Kogyoku to the base, 17.8cm.

Provenance: purchased from Laura Bordignon on 8th November 2005. A copy of the original invoice is available.
