A late 17th century miniature portrait of a Nobleman by Pierre II Huaud, with full wig, white lace cravat and armour, painted in enamel on copper and white counter enamel, marked for 'P. Huaud primo-natus pinkit, Geneuae 1689', 4.6cm high, gold frame and detachable gold pendant mount

Pierre II Huaud was an exceptional miniaturist and shortly after painting this particular Nobleman, he went to Germany and was appointed enameler to Friedrich III, Elector of Brandenburg.
