Description

A rare mid-18th century Battersea enamel wine label,

circa 1755,

escutcheon form, with a cupid in front of rows of tents, holding a banner, titled 'CLARET', length 6.6cm.

Provenance: Dr. Bernard Watney Collection.

The reverse with an old collection label No.1356.
