A Charles I silver Apostle spoon, St. Matthias,
maker's mark poorly struck, possibly that of Benjamin Yates, London 1635,
fig-shaped bowl, tapering faceted stem, the gilded Apostle with a dove nimbus, the reverse of the bowl later prick-dot initialled 'E.W' '1668', length 18.4cm, approx. weight 2oz.
