A PAIR OF CHINESE MOTHER OF PEARL DUCK-SHAPED BOXES AND COVERS

19TH CENTURY

Seated with their legs tucked underneath their bodies, with their heads turned to the side, the bodies inlaid with finely defined mother-of-pearl feathers and eyes, the beaks and feet in ivory, with small covers concealed on their backs with four character Qianlong seal marks in mother of pearl, the interiors in red lacquer, 9cm. (4)
