A LARGE PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE MODELS OF COCKERELS

18TH CENTURY

Each standing with the head turned to the side, the finely wired feathers enamelled in black, yellow, blue, red and green, with removable sections of the tail feathers attached to the backs, raised on wood stands, 36.5cm. (4)

Provenance: formerly in the collection of Ysenburg-Buedigen, purchased from Spink & Son 5th January 1954, and thence by descent.
