AN INDIAN COPPER HINDU GROUP

16TH/17TH CENTURY

The central figure of Shakyamuni flanked by two Bodhisattvas, each holding a lotus bud, with an elaborate gate-like mandala with a five-headed cobra shielding the central figure, all surmounted by an animal mask, the figures slotting into a base decorated with geometric patterns and raised on four zoomorphic legs, 22cm, 1.1kg.
