A GOOD CHINESE GREYISH-WHITE JADE BOULDER

18TH CENTURY

Carved as a mountain with a creek at its foot, with a luohan seated in a cave next to a tree, the stone with minor russet inclusions, inscribed with a mark which reads geng shen Chang Hai, together with a wood stand carved with lingzhi sprouting from rockwork, 14.5cm. (2)

Provenance: Christie's Swire, Hong Kong, 1st-2nd October 1991, lot 1424.
