A CHINESE CANTON ENAMEL FAMILLE ROSE SAUCER

18TH CENTURY

Painted in gilt and enamels with a scene of Buddhist worship, with two ladies and several monks in front of a figure raised on an altar in a garden temple, the reverse with sprays of flowers and fruit, 15.9cm.

Provenance: from the collection of Sir Framjee Dinshaw Maneckji Petit, 3rd Baronet (1901-1983) and Lady Sylla Dinshaw Petit (née Tata).
