Description

A CHINESE IMPERIAL YELLOW-GROUND 'DRAGON' SAUCER DISH
SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722
Decorated to the centre with a green and aubergine five-clawed dragon chasing the sacred flaming pearl of wisdom, the reverse with bunches of grapes, all against a bright yellow ground, 13cm.
Provenance: formerly in the collection of Henry Mazot (1882-1956) based in Beijing in the 1920s.
