A JAPANESE IVORY NETSUKE
MEIJI 1868-1912
Finely carved as Monju Bosatsu seating on a reclining elephant, the Bodhisattva holding a long handscroll before him, the caparisoned pachyderm with it head turned to the side, unsigned, 4cm.
Provenance: From the collection of Albert Brockhaus, by repute, then an English private collection, Surrey.
