A JAPANESE FOUR-CASE LACQUER INRO

MEIJI 1868-1912

Decorated in maki-e, takaramaki-e and nashiji with a large bird perched on a branch of flowering peony, with mountains in the distance, the reverse with a meandering stream and a waterfall, signed, 8cm.

Provenance: the collection of an English gentleman, acquired from Spink.
