A JAPANESE SATSUMA VASE BY KINKOZAN
MEIJI 1868-1912
The tall body finely painted with a continuous design of Mandarin ducks on a stream, the upper half densely decorated with flowering wisteria and with small birds perched amongst the blooms, signed Kinkozan zo in gilt to the base, 30cm.
Provenance: purchased at auction in Cape Town in the 1990s.
