A LARGE JAPANESE VASE
MEIJI 1868-1912
The bulbous body finely decorated with a continuous scene of samurai engaged in battle, with a gnarled pine tree to the side, the neck with an elaborate band of brocade design, shippo pattern, cherry blossoms and stylised leaves and flowerheads, with a band of karakusa scrolls above the foot and inscribed to the base, with a paper label, 45.5cm.
