A JAPANESE GOSU SATSUMA OCTAGONAL DISH
MEIJI 1868-1912
The well decorated with a dense design of flowering chrysanthemum growing behind a screen, the blooms depicted in thick red, gilt and blue enamels, the rim with a shaped border of stylised flowerheads and scrolls, the outside with further chrysanthemum flowerheads and the Shimazu mon, with a three character signature to the base, 20.5cm.
