A JAPANESE IMARI BALUSTER VASE AND COVER
20TH CENTURY
The bulbous body decorated with two shaped panels enclosing beauties producing silk cloth, yuki-tsumugi, spinning silk floss from cocoons on one side and weaving on the other, with large chrysanthemum flowers and roundels with dragons and phoenix, the cover echoing the design and topped with a pear-shaped finial, 42cm overall.
