A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC 'SHI SOU' SILVER INLAID BRONZE INCENSE BURNER

PROBABLY 17TH CENTURY

The compressed circular body with two C-shaped handles inlaid with silver wire decoration of taotie masks, raised on a slightly flared foot, with a two character mark to the underside, 16.5cm, 732g.

Provenance: a Hong Kong private collection, purchased from Nicholas Pitcher, London on 3rd June 2008.
