A late 17th Century English officer's sword, straight single edged blade 32 in., narrow fuller to each side with impressed legend 'AVRI SOVOR' (?), cast brass hilt with symmetrical shell guards, slender knuckle bow interrupted by a swollen and banded section, heavy round pommel, braided grip with binding.
