λ An 18th Century French dagger, hollow triangular-section blade 10 in., traces of etching including script and fleurs de lys; steel guard with drooping quillons terminating in pierced diamond forms and with a side ring, ivory grip; resembles a fencing dagger, possibly a composite with later hilt components.
