A Victorian 'system' arborist's walking cane, with an ebonised handle and a leather sheath stamped 'SAW' and with an eagle '3 COWE.. PATENT', revealing a steel saw, with a brass ferrule and a briar shaft, the brass terminal stamped 'ASHDOWNS PATENT', 96.5cm long.
