A George III mahogany knife box, inlaid with barber's pole stringing and kingwood banding, the sloping lid revealing an interior fitted with a forty-five hole matrix, with a silver handle and a shield shape escutcheon hallmarked for 1806, 38cm high, 23.3cm wide, 29.3cm deep.
