Description

A mid-Victorian gold propelling pencil,
probably by S. Mordan and Co,
made to commemorate the death of The Duke of Wellington in 1852, the slider chased with the arms of Wellington and dates 1769-1852 and with two of his battles - Assaye and Waterloo, The screw-off terminal reveals a lead reservoir and formed as a bust of the Duke, damaged, length 11.3cm.
