This features the racehorses Sobersides, Moonraker, Miss Prim, Garryowen and Dismal Jimmy before the start of the race run at the North Staffordshire and Newcastle-under-Lyme Meeting, August 1846. The race was won by Mr. Ford's brown gelding Moonraker
