Description
A carved hardwood coat of arms in Elizabethan style, with a stained finish, decorated with a stylised crown above a pair of busts of blackamoors, each wearing a feathered cap and sporting earrings, flanked by tasselled drapes and berries, 59 x 52cm.
Possibly one of the coat of arms made for the Indian Princely Rulers who took part in the Delhi Durbar in 1877.
