Provenance: Purchased by a relative of the vendor's from Isaac Marks Antiques, 94 Grey Street, Newcastle on Tyne, 10th May 1930 for £12 10 shillings as a set of four ivory figures by Elsa Renee. A copy of the original receipt is available.
