A Victorian silver wine label,

by George Adams, London 1873,

pierced shaped oval form, pierced 'WHISKEY', engraved with a crown and monogram, the reverse with a crest, length 6.2cm, approx. weight 0.6oz.

Provenance: Chrisitie's South Kensington, The Hadad Collection, 5 December 2000, lot 125.

The crest is that of Lowe, McGeorge, McHaffie, Marjoribanks, Meverell and others.
