An 18th century Dutch silver tobacco box,
Schoonhoven probably 1781, also marked with a later tax mark,
shaped rectangular form, the hinged cover engraved with a gentleman and a sleeping lady, within scroll decoration, inscribed 'Hooglied.V.2', the base also with engraved decoration, length 13.8cm, approx. weight 6.2oz.
