maker's mark of G.B,

circular form, simulated double snake ring handle, inscribed 'L. Chauffrut D Espirat', length 10.8cm, plus another 19th century French silver wine taster, the handle engraved with a woman sitting on a barrel, inscribed 'In Vino Veritas', approx. total weight 5.4oz. (2)

Provenance: From the Collection of Sir Framjee Dinshaw Maneckji Petit, 3rd Baronet (1901-1983) and Lady Sylla Dinshaw Petit (nee Tata), and then by descent to the current owner.
