Phoney War and Burma Campaign: a large collection of documents and correspondence, detailing the military career of Captain Maurice C. Brown, Royal Artillery and Indian Pioneer Corps, including letters from France in the period prior to the Dunkirk evacuation, another describing his relief at repatriation, and other material; together with part of the official War Diary of 1390 Company, 41st Battalion, Indian Auxiliary Pioneer Corps, of which Brown was the commanding officer in Assam and Burma from October 1943.
