FOUR CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE OVOID JARS AND COVERS
19TH CENTURY
Each with shaped cartouches enclosing birds and butterflies amidst various flowers against an orange ground, three painted in gilt with cranes amongst clouds, with bands of bats, peaches and shou characters to the shoulders, the other decorated with gilt floral and foliate sprays below a border of ruyi-heads and flowers, the domed covers with similar designs, 20.5cm.
