A CHINESE LAPIS LAZULI CARVING OF A LION DOG

LATE QING DYNASTY

In a recumbent pose, with its eyes bulging and its mouth agape, carved with its long horn running down its back, 9.3cm.

Provenance: obtained from Mr Ernest Hart, Milford-on-Sea, Hampshire in the 1970s.
