A rare George II North country provincial spoon tray, oval with a scalloped and fluted edge, the base initialled "H", the centre engraved with a coat of arms and motto "PERSEUERANTI DABITVR" within a roundel, maker's mark and lion passant only, by Jonathan Martin of Durham, c.1745, 6.3in (16cm) long, 4oz.
