A CHINESE LACQUERED BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI
MING DYNASTY
Cast seated in dhyanasana on a lotus throne, with his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra and his left holding the alms bowl in dhyana mudra, dressed in flowing robes with floral decoration to the borders which open revealing a fylfot on his chest, with two monks clasping their hands in prayer standing on smaller lotus flowerheads to the sides, 28.5cm, 3.5kg.
