A CHINESE BLUE-GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK ROBE

LATE QING DYNASTY

The deep blue silk subtly decorated with roundels enclosing dragons in pursuit of sacred jewels, the edges with embroidered butterflies and different insects in flight amidst lotus, prunus, orchids and other flowers, all contained within butterfly borders, 177cm across, 138cm long.
