A CHINESE SILK BUDDHIST TRIBUTE 'DRAGON' PIECE

LATE MING DYNASTY

Woven in polychrome and gold-wrapped threads with a central dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl, surrounded by shou characters, ruyi head-shaped clouds and smaller dragons, framed and glazed, together with a copy of Chinese Silks and Sewing Tools by Jocelyn Chatterton, 73.5cm x 33.5cm. (2)
