Description
A large and impressive Burmantoft's Faience Partie-Colour jardiniere and stand probably designed by Joseph Walmsley, the ovoid bowl modelled in low relief with two peacocks displaying in a formal garden landscape, the knopped cylindrical base with stylised flowers, in shades of blue, turquoise, green, ochre and yellow, impressed and painted marks, minor glaze loss, 103cm. high, 55cm. diam. (2)
