λ A late 18th century Italian painted paper and ivory fan, the leaf decorated with a central oval panel with a female opera singer, flanked by oval panels of flowers and scrolling leaves, with gilt foil borders, the guards and sticks relief carved and pierced with cherubs, birds, flowers and leaves, the verso with a laurel wreath, 42.7cm wide, in an associated box.
