A George IV Scottish soup tureen and cover, of squat oval form on four ornate foliate scroll feet, with two handles and a border of repeating foliate motifs, the cover domed and surmounted by a large handle decorated in relief with acorns and oak foliage, the body engraved on each side with a coat of arms,* the cover with the crest and motto "KIND HEART BE TRUE AND YOU SHALL NEVER RUE", on each side, maker's mark of "MACKAY", Edinburgh 1825, 17in (47.7cm) wide, 134oz. * Arms of........................
