An Art Deco diamond and enamel compact by Cartier, of Islamic inspiration, decorated with black enamel and a diamond-set framed portrait of a noble woman, with diamond-set hinged loops, diamond thumbpiece, with counter gold decoration, the inner compartment containing two sections for a powderpuff and powder, with broken mirror, signed Cartier with French control marks, with rubbed maker's mark possibly for Henri Lavabre, 8.8cm high
