Description

A delftware plate c.1730, probably Bristol, painted in blue with a central seated figure wearing a large hat, before a building with a tall spire, flanked by trees sponged in manganese, 21.5cm.

Provenance: acquired from Christie's, 20th November 1965, lot 162.
