Description
A delftware posset pot c.1680, Brislington or London, of large size, painted in blue and manganese with a figure wearing an elaborate costume and plumed hat to one side of the spout, the other side with a figure seated beside a small tree, the reverse with a further figure in a Chinese landscape, the rim with a blue scroll border, applied with two scroll handles with blue detailing, damages, the cover lacking, 29.5cm dia.
Provenance: acquired from Dunmow, c.1954.
