Provenance

Allan MacPherson, Blairgowrie, Scotland, and thence by descent. Allan MacPherson was the son of William MacPherson, the clerk to the House of Representatives, Melbourne, Australia. He wrote a pamphlet of his experiences around Mount Abundance in the mid 19th century, returning to Scotland in 1860.
