An early Victorian needlework sampler by Phillis Francis, worked with birds in trees, urns of flowers, a pair of dogs, a pair of men with shovels flanking a house, inscribed with a hymn 'When all Gods saints are gathered home...' and signed 'Phillis Francis Aged 11 years 1841', 31.3 x 31.3cm, in a glazed mahogany frame.
