A George III reverse glass mezzotint of William Pitt the Elder, by William Hoare, signed 'Willm. Hoare Pinxt.', 35.5 x 25cm, in a giltwood frame.
William Pitt 'The Elder', 1st Earl of Chatham (1708-1778), dominated politics in the mid-18th century although was only prime minister for two years.
