A late George III mahogany knife box, inlaid with ebonised and boxwood stringing, the hinged sloping lid inlaid with a parquetry star to the underside and revealing a matrix with seventy-eight apertures, with a serpentine front with an unmarked silver handle and escutcheon, 39.1cm high, 28,7cm wide, 35cm deep.
