A French Restoration Palais-Royal ormolu and engraved mother of pearl nécessaire, decorated with cherubs, flowers and masks, the hinged lid with a foliate pierced gallery and centred with a glazed panel containing cut card or paper flowers and leaves, the interior with a mirror to the underside of the lid and with a lift-out tray, containing: a pair of mother of pearl handled scissors, a thimble and a needle case, 8cm high, 16cm wide, 10.6cm deep.
