Description

A late 19th century Italian Roman micromosaic Grand Tour plaque, the oval panel depicting the Roman Forum, with a pair of figures walking amongst the three columns of the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the remains of Temple of Vespasian, the Temple of Saturn and to the left the Arch of Septimus Severus and in the distance the Arch of Titus and the Column of Phocas, set in a black marble and malachite bordered outer frame, 25.5 x 36cm.
